How can i clean outdoor wood for my ball python?
I have got some outdoor wood but don't know what i need to clean it with. I know you have to get the bugs and other things off it when you put it in the cage. But really just don't know.
put it in the oven at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. this will kill off any bugs or parasites. just to be sure spray it down with a 10% bleach solution 10 min before baking. keep an eye on it though and make sure it doesn't scorch. also it is recommended to remove the bark, you don't have to, but IMHO it looks better and most bugs live just under the bark anyway.
