I was told that there is a product on the market for outdoor plant roots, which make all plants stronger?

I have used miracle grow and all types of soils from humas to potting soil but for some reason the plantings that I plant on the east side of my house never make it till fall, I think I have moles or other critters that up root my plants. So I was told that there is a product that makes plants roots stronger, but I can't remember who told me, nor the name of the product.

I don't think anything will help against moles or other critters that eat roots!

Someone may have been telling you about mycorrhizae... Mycorrhizae are organisms that live in the soil that are supposed to help the plant take up nutirents and help it grow. There are many companies out there that sell this material and say it is benefcial to plants. The verdict is still out on this subject for many scientists.

I don't buy into mycorrhizae. I won't until I see more research on the matter! Here's a good link with some material for you to read about it. This way you can make up your own mind!
