What happens when you have a hammock on a boat?
Say you have a hammock on a boat. And you have someone who gets seasick whenever they're out at sea. If that person lies down on the hammock, does it get them "double-seasick", or would it negate the motion of the boat that makes them sick, and they end up fine?
A hammock has a natural periodicity to it's motion, which can be either amplified or deadened by the periodicity of the rocking boat. The deck, however, is rocking along more planes than the hammock, so some of that motion would not be altered much by being in a hammock. But generally the motion of the hammock might be a little more tolerable to your stomach than the deck of the boat itself.
