2/3-person tent with canopy for?
Can anyone suggest a good quality tent with ample room for two people, that also has an integral (or separate) awning/canopied area for dining or just relaxing close to the tent when it's (inevitably) raining. Our current 2-person tent has a decent-sized vestibule area for storage, but it's too small and low for really spending any time in.
Get a separate pop-up gazebo, you'll love it. It keeps the bugs out, the rain out (especially if you have the sidewalls), and the sun off of you. It's a great place to eat away from the bugs or hang out in bad weather.
Any tent that has a front porch like you are describing is guaranteed to be a crappy tent.. Your small tent is also much warmer than a big one for those cold nights. And if it gets really hot, sleep in the gazebo!
